Overall Opinion:
When it comes to VersaSpa Bronzing Mist, it falls smack dab in the middle of the spectrum as far as positives and negatives are concerned.
On the positive side, this tanner couldn’t be easier to apply and has a rapid dry time. It has a moisturizing feel to it, and can easily be rubbed into all areas of your body without any streaking.
On the flip side, however, it doesn’t produce a very dark tan, has a pretty terrible odor with it, and the tan doesn’t last as long as other options on the market.
The expensive price tag might lead you to believe VersaSpa Bronzing Mist is as good as they come, but there are definitely better options available for self tanners.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
VersaSpa Bronzing Mist has a dark brown color guard to it. However, unlike many other self-tanners with a color guard, this one looks really nice when you apply it. It adds a natural darkness to your body, so you can leave the house post-application without any issue.
It’s also super moisturizing when applied. It didn’t feel sticky at all, and was very easy to rub in. I wouldn’t go as far as saying it felt like applying a moisturizer, but it was definitely one of the more comfortable self-tanners to wear.
Application
The application for VersaSpa Bronzing Mist is super easy. At first, I sprayed the tanner directly into my mitt so I wouldn’t get any product on my bathroom floors. However, I quickly realized how precise the mist was, and began spraying it directly on my body.
This mist is super easy to blend in, too. It’s very moisturizing, so I didn’t have to work very hard to rub it in. And the addition of the color guard made it even easier to ensure I covered all areas of my body.
The instructions do say to use the tanner sparingly around your feet, ankles, knees, and elbows so I paid extra attention to those areas.
VersaSpa Bronzing Mist was one of the quickest tanners I’ve used because of its ease of application, so that’s a major bonus for this self-tanner.
Drying Time
VersaSpa Bronzing Mist has a very quick dry time—5 minutes or less!
After that point, I wasn’t sticky or wet at all, and could easily apply my clothes. And since the color guard looks like a tinted body moisturizer, I was able to resume my day without thinking twice about it.
Smell (Before Application)
I couldn’t believe how terrible VersaSpa Bronzing Mist smelled! It has an odor similar to cleaning products, and it completely caught me off guard.
There’s also a slight self-tanner scent to it underneath the harsh, eye-stinging smell, so this was definitely not a product I enjoyed smelling while I applied it.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The terrible scent that comes with using VersaSpa Bronzing Mist didn’t linger long, thankfully!
Once the product was absorbed, the odor decreased significantly. And then after an hour had passed, the smell went away completely.
This is a huge saving grace for this self-tanner because if that scent hung around until my next shower, I’m not sure I could bear it.
Color Produced
Truthfully, I’m a little bummed at the depth of tan I achieved with VersaSpa Bronzing Mist.
On the positive side, it’s a very natural-looking tan. There isn’t any weird orange appearance to it, and it looks like I’ve been spending time out in the sun.
However, it’s just not that much of a difference from my natural skin color. I was expecting more significant results, especially since I left it on for a full 24 hours before washing it off!
I think this is just a much lighter tan than others, which I wasn’t expecting.
Also, it didn’t absorb very well around my knees, ankles, and elbows so I’m a little embarrassed about how that looks. It’s a pretty solid giveaway that the tan wasn’t achieved naturally, which is a negative aspect for me.
How Long It Lasts
VersaSpa Bronzing Mist gave me a tan that lasted about 2-3 days, so a little shorter than the average self-tanner I’ve used in the past.
It did fade very nicely, however, so I never had to worry about streaking.

Price
VersaSpa Bronzing Mist is a more expensive option when it comes to self-tanners.
While I do think you can achieve a medium tan with this product, I don’t think it’s worth the money. It doesn’t produce as dark of a tan as expected, and the tan doesn’t last as long as others.
There are other options available for cheaper that deliver better results, so I don’t think the price tag is justified.
