Overall Opinion:
I am completely in love with St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist, which is why I gave it a near perfect score of 4.5/5 stars!
The application is simple, with a product consistency that is fool proof in achieving the perfect tan. And after less than 5 minutes, you can fully dress and move on with your day.
Touting a tropical scent when initially applied, you have to wait just 8-12 hours before a gorgeous, dark, glowing tan emerges.
The price tag might be a bit higher than others, but it’s completely justified. If you’re looking for an easy, gorgeous self-tanner, look no further than St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist is a clear body spray, so there’s no color guard to it.
Once you apply it to your skin, it has a very moisturizing feel to it. Even when you first apply it, there isn’t anything sticky about it. It feels more like you’re rubbing in a light moisturizer.
There also isn’t any residue left behind, even immediately after application, which is super impressive.
Application
I don’t think St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist could be any easier to apply! They direct to spray the mist directly onto your skin, but I normally tan in my bathroom and didn’t want to get product everywhere. For that reason, I chose to spray the bronzing mist into my tanning mitt and apply.
There’s no color guard with this product, as I mentioned above, so you can’t see where the product is going. However, it applies so smoothly that you don’t really have to worry about streaking. It clearly rubs into all areas of your body.
There is no residue left behind after using St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist, so it was super easy to get dressed and move on with your day, especially with the lack of color guard!
Drying Time
St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist dries almost immediately. I didn’t feel sticky at all, even right after I had applied the product.
However, I was able to get fully dressed less than 5 minutes after I had used the product, which I personally loved about this product.
Smell (Before Application)
I really enjoyed the scent of St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist! It has a tropical scent to it that made me feel like I was getting ready to hit the beach.
This was nice when leaving the house post-application too because I smelled really good, and not at all like self-tanner.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
After about an hour, the nice tropical scent of St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist wore off, and a slight self-tanner odor started to emerge.
It wasn’t overpowering, and was probably just something I was aware of since it was coming from my own body.
However, that self-tanner smell was gone by the next morning before I took my next shower!
Color Produced
I’m totally floored at the tan I achieved with St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist. I absolutely LOVE the way my skin looks!
They said you’d start to see your tan about 4-8 hours post-application. I think it took closer to 8-12 hours, so you definitely have to be patient with it. But it’s totally worth it.
The tan was very dark, and there was absolutely no streaking. It also looked very natural and glowy at the same time, so I truly looked like I had been getting a healthy amount of time in the sun.
I felt totally confident rocking this tan, and couldn’t believe that a tanning spray performed this well!
How Long It Lasts
The tan I achieved with St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist lasted for about 3 days.
It also faded very nicely, so it wasn’t obvious I had previously self-tanned when it was fading. That’s always a major win for me.
OK For Men?
Yes! However, the scent initially is a bit girly, so that might be bothersome for certain men.
Price
St. Tropez Bronzing Water Mist is a little bit more expensive than other self tanners, but I think it’s totally worth it.
The price is justified because of the tan you achieve from it, and how much product you get. I honestly think a single bottle would last you a while. The consistency of it allows a small amount to cover a large surface area.
So without a doubt, this is worth the money!
