Overall Opinion:

If my single star review didn’t send the message clear enough, Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are a total flop.

Despite the fact that I genuinely didn’t experience any shade of tan whatsoever after using this product, it was also a very challenging product to work with.

The formula is very thick, hard to incorporate into your face and body moisturizers, and leaves a really sticky residue behind that’s especially uncomfortable when used on your face. And then to boot, you don’t reap any tanning benefits from your labor either!

With olive oil as their first ingredient, I really shouldn’t have been surprised that these self-tanning drops did absolutely nothing.

In my opinion, you’d be better off using almost any other tanning product on the market than Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are orange/light brown in color, but that doesn’t come through when mixed into your moisturizer of choice.

The drops are also extremely thick. The consistency is more like a gel than a liquid, which took me by surprise.

Until the drops have absorbed into your face and body, you feel extremely sticky. It’s definitely a more uncomfortable product to apply overall.

Application

It seems simple to add self-tanning drops into your face and body lotion, but in fact, application for Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops was challenging.

For starters, despite the color of the drops, there isn’t a color guard, so you really aren’t sure that you’re covering every area adequately.

Secondly, they tell you to use 1-12 drops, which is such a large range! I decided to land in the middle at 6 drops per pump of lotion, but I had no clue if that would be enough or way too much. The lack of direction here is an issue, in my opinion.

And finally, the drops are so thick that it made my moisturizers so much harder to apply. I felt really sticky while the product absorbed, and not confident that I was able to work the lotion all over.

Overall, this was not an easy product to work with at all.

Drying Time

I mixed Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops into my face and body lotion, and adding the drops in gave me a longer drying time than when I use the lotion on its own.

It took about 5-10 minutes post-application before my body and face were no longer sticky. I didn’t mind as much on my body, but the stickiness of the product on my face was overwhelming.

Smell (Before Application)

Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops has a sweet, sugar cookie odor to it.

It isn’t very strong, which is good because I think it’s a small number of people who want to smell that much like a dessert.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

One of the only positives of this product is that a gross self-tanner scent didn’t emerge after wearing the product for a few hours.

The initial smell went away too, so it was just odorless.

Color Produced

I knew I should’ve been concerned when the first ingredient for Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops was olive oil. And boy, were my instincts right!

I didn’t see a single change to my skin color after using this product. Neither my face nor body was any darker after 24 hours of wearing the product.

This is a total flop!

How Long It Lasts

I never actually achieved a tan with Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops, so I’d have to say my tan lasted approximately 0 days.

OK For Men?

No. This product isn’t great for anyone since it doesn’t produce any real results.

In terms of pricing, Glossiva Face and Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are on par with many other self-tanning drops.

However, they literally don’t work so they’re definitely not worth the money!
