Launched in 2012, SelfTanning.com was formed with one mission in mind:  to help people around the world discover the most effective self tanning products currently available and show them the best ways to use these products.

Every year we buy literally hundreds of different self tanning products- which includes everything from lotions, creams, gels, mousses, and milks to towelettes, sprays, and mists.

Then our team of editors thoroughly test and review these products based on a specific set of criteria that we’ve developed.  Finally, we rate each product and rank it against all the others. The end result is the world’s most comprehensive and up-to-date list of the best self tanners on the market today.

In addition to product reviews, our team of tanning enthusiasts constantly updates this site with helpful tips, video tutorials, and breaking news.

Each of our beauty experts grew up as part of the “self tanning generation” and thus have been using these products for many, many years.  And although they all have different skin types, backgrounds and color, each one has a lot of experience with self tanning and knows exactly what to look for when evaluating a particular product.

Plus, they’re a lot of fun to work with :)

Where We’re Located

Our company is based in Arizona, which is the perfect location for everything having to do with tanning!

Because we have over 300 days of sunshine a year, people are very conscious of the dangers of UV radiation and sunlight. As such, self and spray tanning is big business here… We can’t imagine a better place to use, test and report on self tanning products!
