Overall, I gave Tanceuticals CC Self Tanning Face Lotion 5 out of 5 stars.

This is my go-to facial tanner, and I even use it before filming many of my Youtube videos. I’ve tried a handful of self tanners for the face, and this one is BY FAR the best I’ve tried.

It’s easy to apply, smells great, and you can’t beat the color.  I got a dark, natural glow and I looked so healthy.  My face also looked sun kissed like I’d been out in the sun.  People couldn’t tell my tan was from a bottle.

This self tanning lotion also dries pretty fast; it only took a little less than 10 minutes.

I’ve turned a few people on to this face tanner, and they all love the results.

Finally, it didn’t give me any acne or blemishes.  This has been a problem with some facial self tanners I’ve tried in the past, but luckily, I didn’t have any issues with Tanceuticals.

So if you’re looking to add a little color to your face and neck, this is the product for you.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This facial self tanner is a thick, white lotion.  It’s very creamy and silky feeling.

It honestly looks a lot like your normal night cream or lotion.  I really like that because it’s easy and clean to apply.

It’s thicker than Tanceuticals Body Lotion, which is great, as it’s very moisturizing and hydrating.

Application

Tanceuticals CC Self Tanning Face Lotion is so easy to apply.

I don’t use a mitt, latex glove, or anything… just my bare hands.  Now, if you’re worried about tanning your fingers, you can use one of those cute finger mitts, that would work too.  I don’t have any issues just using my hands though (just make sure to wash your palms after applying!).

I have dark eyebrows, so I just apply the Tanceuticals right on top of them.  But for those of you with lighter features, make sure to apply Vaseline to your hairline and eyebrows before applying.  This will prevent any discoloration. If you do happen to get a little discoloration, don’t worry, it will wash out with your next shower.

Overall, it only takes me a few minutes to apply; I just rub it in all over my face, neck and décolleté.  It’s white, so it blends is easily, and isn’t messy at all.  Just make sure to pay attention where you’re applying it so you don’t miss any spots.

Drying Time

I was worried this lotion would take a long time to dry because it’s on the thicker side.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I found this lotion only takes about 10 minutes to dry.

Smell (Before Application)

This face tanner smells SOO good.  And thank God for that, because it’s on your face, making it easy to smell all night long.

I didn’t smell any DHA when I applied it, only a light, coconut smell that I love.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

By the next morning, I still couldn’t smell any DHA, which is great.

I could still smell the tropical coconut smell… I didn’t want to wash it off!

Color Produced

After leaving the tanner on all night, I woke up with a gorgeous tan.

My tan was dark, and very natural-looking.  I literally look like I spent a day or two by the pool.  It wasn’t orange at all, and it was so smooth.  I looked overall healthy, and had that “back from vacation” tan that we all love.

I used the dark shade and it gave me a tan that was about 3 shades darker.  If you’re looking for a more gradual tan, you can try out their “light” self tanner, which provides more of a “glow” than a dark tan.

Another plus to using this self tanner is it helps cover up blemishes.  I have some acne and red marks, and whenever I apply Tanceuticals, my spots become less visible.  This is a huge plus for me.

I have oily, acne prone skin, and this has never broken me out or clogged my pores.

This self tanner is also very moisturizing, so it kind of doubles as a self tanner and a moisturizer.  My skin always feels so soft and hydrated when I use it.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted about 3-4 days.  I find that my face tan never lasts as long as my body tan because I wash my face at least once a day (to take my makeup off).  That causes my tan to fade faster than it does on my body. So I need to apply this about twice a week.  Thankfully it only takes a few minutes to apply, so it’s not a big deal.

OK For Men?

Yes!  I’ve turned many men on to this facial self tanner (including my husband), and they love it.
