Overall Opinion:

After testing Tuscan Tan Full Self Tan Mousse, I gave it 2 out of 5 stars.

Applying it is exhausting because the guide never blends in.  It kind of just sits on your skin and doesn’t absorb.  It left me looking like a streaky mess when I went to bed.

Second, the price tag is SO high.  After shipping, the total was $70.00 which is absolutely ridiculous.

The results were decent, but not as dark as I was expecting or would’ve hoped.

The drying time sucked, and the smell wasn’t good either.

So overall, this self tanner let me down in more than one department.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This one is a light airy mousse that comes out brown with a greenish hue.

It’s a medium to dark brown color, and I could definitely see some green under tones in there.

The mousse is a nice texture, not too thick and not too thin.

Application

Applying this mousse is annoying.

The guide literally doesn’t blend into your skin, as much as you rub it.

I had to blend it in for a few minutes, until the guide looked like it was even enough on my skin.

It kind of just moved around as I rubbed it, it just wouldn’t blend in.

You should use a tanning mitt while applying this mousse, otherwise the guide will stain your palms. It will also be a nightmare to blend in without the mitt!

Drying Time

This one dried after about 45 minutes, so the drying time wasn’t too good.

I also felt pretty sticky while I was waiting for the tanner to dry on my skin.

I was very unimpressed with the drying time and wish it dried faster.

Smell (Before Application)

When I smelled it in the bottle it had a light tropical scent.

But as soon as I started applying it, I couldn’t smell that anymore and it smelled a little like DHA.

The DHA smell wasn’t very strong, but it definitely overpowered any good scent there was to begin with.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next morning I had that “self tanner” smell on my skin, which isn’t too pleasant.

I couldn’t wait to shower the product off.

Color Produced

After one application I had a nice medium shade tan.  I wish I would have been darker, but I guess you need to apply two days in a row for a dark tan.

My tan wasn’t streaky or splotchy at all, and had a nice brown hue to it.  There was a little bit of orange in it as well.

The color was nice, but it wasn’t my absolute favorite and it definitely wasn’t dark enough for me.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted 3 days before drastically fading.

The good news is it faded very evenly and didn’t become scaly.

OK For Men?

Nah, I don’t think men will like this one.

What you get for the super high price tag just isn’t worth it.

Price

Tuscan Tan Full Self Tan Mousse is $70 including shipping!  Talk about most expensive self tanner ever.
