Overall Opinion:

Overall, I gave Extended Vacation Moroccan Mineral Dark Tan 2 out of 5 stars.

This one really fell short, especially in the color department.  My tan was very light, which was a let down because the guide was so dark.

This one smells good, until it develops and then it smells like DHA.

Application is ok, but make sure you use a mitt or else it can turn into a nightmare.

The price point is average, so at least this one doesn’t cost the big bucks.  But I still don’t think it’s worth it’s average price tag.

So overall, this one isn’t as good as your average self tanner.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This self tanner is a slimy, slick gel-like lotion.

It’s very dark brown in color, so you can definitely see it as your applying.

Application

This one wasn’t too bad to apply as long as you use a tanning mitt.

The lotion glides over your skin nicely, but it does take a few seconds to blend in.

The guide helps show you where you’re applying the product, but it’s very dark so be careful.  I stained some towels while I was applying it.

I wouldn’t suggest applying this one without a tanning mitt as it will be VERY messy.

Drying Time

Extended Vacation Moroccan Mineral Dark Tan took about 35-40 minutes to dry, and I still went to bed feeling a little bit sticky.

Smell (Before Application)

I enjoyed the smell of this one.

It smelled like almond/cherry but I could also smell some DHA.

It’s one of the better smelling ones out there, but still not THE best.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

As the color developed the DHA smell became stronger.

By the next morning most of the good smell was gone and I was left smelling like self tanner.

Color Produced

Since the guide is so dark, I expected to get a deep tan.

But after I showered the guide off, I was left with a very light tan.

I wasn’t happy with the color at all; it was more like a gradual self tanner.

If you’re looking for a gradual tanner you may like the color this one gives, otherwise you’ll think it’s way too light like I did.

The color it does product is also a tad bit orangey.  I didn’t really like the hue of it.

How Long It Lasts

My tan was very light, so it only lasted about 3 days.

As it faded it thankfully didn’t become splotchy or scaly.

OK For Men?

No.  I don’t think men will like the results of this one.  My tan was very light.
