Top 10 Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Dihydroxyacetone, Glycerin, Erythrulose, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Pentylene Glycol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Fragrance (Parfum), 1,2-Hexanediol
Overall Opinion:
I gave Bondi Sands Liquid Gold 2.75 out of 5 stars, so it was slightly better than average.
I would’ve ranked it higher, except I found applying it was very exhausting. The spray pump doesn’t pump out much product at all, so I literally had to pump 100 times to cover my whole body.
The color produced was a medium shade tan. It wasn’t as dark as I’d like to be after the pain of applying it, but it was a nice shade and natural looking.
The smell is SO good; I loved it.
Another thing I didn’t like is shipping it to the United States costs more than the actual product!
So overall, I gave this spray 2.75 out of 5 stars.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
This is a tanning spray that comes in a pump bottle.
The product itself is a liquid (hence the name), and it comes out a light brownish color.
The color acts as a guide on your skin, so you can see where you’re applying this spray.
Application
I really didn’t like applying this one.
This one has a spray pump and isn’t a continuous mist.
So when you spray it, not a lot of product comes out at all. I felt like I was constantly spraying the product to get more liquid out, it was tiring!
It literally only covers a few inches of your body at a time.
I found it easier to spray on to my tanning mitt and then rub it in. Otherwise, you have to spray onto your body and then blend in with the mitt.
I also found that when applying this one I inhaled a lot of the product, which I didn’t like at all. It also gets all over your floor, so be careful.
By the end of application, my fingers hurt from spraying so much!
Drying Time
Drying time for this spray was great.
It looks less than 10 minutes to dry once I applied it, and I didn’t feel too sticky either.
You do have to make sure not to get the guide on anything while it’d drying though.
Smell (Before Application)
I love the smell of this product!
It smells so good, like sweet coconuts.
The smell is coconut mixed with something else, all you need to know is it smells great.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
After the color started to develop I could smell more DHA.
Over time the coconut smell meshed with the DHA and didn’t smell as good as it originally did.
But it didn’t smell horrible either.
Color Produced
After washing off the guide in the shower, I was left with a medium shade tan.
It wasn’t nearly as dark as some self tanners out there, but the color was pretty smooth and natural.
I liked the color it produced, but for all the work it takes to apply, I wish my tan was darker.
For those of you looking for a medium shade tan, this one is really nice. But you do have to take a lot of time applying it.
How Long It Lasts
My medium shade tan lasted around 5 days before it was gone.
It never got too streaky, but I did have a few small patchy areas as it faded.
OK For Men?
If men are willing to put in a lot of work while applying it, they may like this one.
It produces a nice medium tan.
Price
If you’re in the USA, it will cost you $7.03 per ounce.
The shipping to the USA costs more than the product itself, which is ridiculous.
