Overall Opinion:
I found Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Micro Mist to be a little better than average, so I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
I like the way this one smells, and I also love the color it produces. It was a very deep shade, and SO natural looking (not orange at all).
The only downsides are it’s extremely messy to apply and my tan had a few streaks in it.
Those of you looking for a deep tan may like this one, just keep in mine you’ll need to take a lot of time applying it!
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
This self tanner is a continuous mist spray.
The color is dark brown, and you can really see it when you apply it on your skin.
The mist itself light is texture.
Application
Applying Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Micro Mist is SO messy.
I’m talking self tanner all over my bathroom. I applied it in my shower, and so much of the product fell to the ground. I think had to scrub to get it out, which in turn messed up my tan.
The dark guide will stain your floor if you don’t clean it up immediately, so make sure to run your shower after you apply.
I sprayed this mist onto my body and then used a tanning mitt to blend in. As I was spraying it on, the mist kind of ran down my legs, so I had to work fast to blend it in.
Drying Time
This one actually dried relatively quickly. My skin felt dry and smooth within 15 minutes of applying it.
This one could stain your sheets, so be careful.
Smell (Before Application)
Sun Laboratories Micro Mist smells like almond, which I really liked.
It was sweet and not too strong smelling.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
By the next morning, I could smell DHA, which was gross. The almond scent was still there as well, but it was mixed with self tanner smell.
Color Produced
I really like the color Sun Labs Self Tanning Micro Mist produces.
It’s very dark, and brown. My tan looked natural, like I had spent a few days lying out in the sun. I didn’t get any orange tint with this one. It’s one of the darker self tanners on the market.
I had a few streaks on my legs, however. I think that was due to the application process and how the product drips down your legs. So that part I didn’t like. You’ll just need to be very careful when applying this one.
How Long It Lasts
My tan lasted about 3-4 days before starting to fade. As it faded, it became a little streaky and splotchy, I had to moisturize and scrub to get it off.
OK For Men?
Yes, just make sure to be careful during application!
Price
Sun Laboratories Ultra Dark Self Tanning Micro Mist is $4.17 per ounce, which is an average price.
