Overall Opinion:
After testing this self tanner, I gave it 3.25 out of 5 stars because I found it better than your average self tanner.
This self tanner is unique in that you apply it to your wet skin, right out of the shower. It’s not like other in-shower self tanners that you apply in the shower and then rinse off. You literally apply this one to your wet skin after your shower, and then just dry off as normal.
This is a gradual self tanner, so don’t expect to get a drastic tan overnight. But after 3 applications, I had a nice medium tan. It was natural looking and smooth.
This one also smells pretty good, its fresh and sweet.
The main thing I didn’t like about Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer is that it never really dried. I had a sticky film all over my body all night that was a nuisance.
But overall, this is a pretty decent self tanner, so I gave it 3.25 out of 5 stars.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
This is a white lotion that you apply to wet skin. The lotion is very slick and a little slimy feeling.
Application
Application of this one is very easy.
You apply it directly when you get out of the shower, before even drying off. So your skin should be wet as you apply it.
The lotion doesn’t really blend in, it just kind of sits on top of your skin as a film.
The directions say after applying it, you can then dry off your body from the shower.
I didn’t use a tanning mitt to apply it as you need to apply it right when you’re done with your shower. I applied mine while I was still standing in the shower.
Drying Time
I really didn’t like the drying time of Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer. It feels like a thick film sitting on your skin, and it never completely dries.
I could still feel the residue on my body throughout the night, which became uncomfortable.
Smell (Before Application)
I like the way this lotion smells.
It smells fresh and perfumey. It’s not as heavy of a smell as some in shower self tanners I’ve tried. The scent is a pretty girly one.
I also couldn’t smell any DHA and that’s always a plus.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
By the next morning I could still smell some of the sweet perfume scent. I couldn’t smell any DHA though.
It was nice that the perfume scent lasted til the next morning.
Color Produced
I tried Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer is the Medium to Tan shade. Keep in mind this is a gradual self tanner, so it will take a few applications to reach your desired medium to tan shade.
After one application I had a light tan, and after about 3 back-to-back applications I had a medium shade.
My tan never became super dark, but the medium shade was nice and even.
I like how this self tanner also locks in moisture, so it really helps with having an even tan.
They also have this is a light shade for those of you looking for a more subtle glow.
I was pretty happy with my tan after 3 applications, although it was a lot of work using this daily.
How Long It Lasts
My tan lasted about 4 days before I felt like I needed to apply it again.
As it faded it faded pretty evenly, I think it’s because my skin was extra hydrated due to its moisturizing properties.
OK For Men?
Yes, I think men may like this one.
Price
Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer is $1.47 per ounce which is very cheap.
