Top Ingredients: Purified Water, Aloe Vera Gel, Isopropyl Palmitate, Dihydroxyacetone, Safflower Oil, Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Behenyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose
Overall Opinion:
Kashmere Sunless Tanning Lotion is slightly better than average, so I gave it 2.75 out of 5 stars.
I love the way this one smells, however as it develops you can smell more and more DHA, which wasn’t so pleasant.
The color produced is also pretty nice, it’s a light to medium shade (not dark enough for my liking), but it is very natural looking. The one downside is I had some small streaks. Maybe that was from lack of guide.
It also takes forever to blend into your skin. It’s kind of like a white film just sitting there for 5-10 minutes before absorbing.
It’s also very pricey at $50 a pop.
So, this one had its pros and its cons.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Kashmere Sunless Tanning Lotion is a very thick, emollient white cream.
It looks more like body butter than a self tanner. The lack of guide makes it clean and easy to apply.
Application
Kashmere Sunless Tanning Lotion is kind of difficult to apply, despite the fact that it’s not messy.
The lotion is thick, and it’s pretty hard to blend in. It stays white on your skin for at least 5 minutes. I was rubbing and rubbing, trying to get it to absorb, and I finally just gave up.
The lack of guide may be a bit troublesome for those of you who aren’t used to that, but I liked it because I didn’t have to worry about any mess. Just apply it like you do your normal body lotion.
The good news is you don’t need to use a tanning mitt to apply if you don’t want to.
Drying Time
This is a thicker lotion, so I figured it would take a little longer to dry.
It dried in about 30 minutes, which isn’t too bad. I felt sticky while waiting for it to dry, but after it dried my skin felt so silky and soft.
Smell (Before Application)
This self tanner smells really good. It’s sweet, girly and perfumey.
I loved the smell, although it’s probably too girly for you men out there. It’s a pretty strong scent.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
As the color developed, it began to smell more and more like DHA.
The perfume smell was still there, but so was DHA, so it didn’t smell as good as it originally did.
Color Produced
By the next morning, I had a light to medium tan. I liked the way my tan looked, although there were a few streaky areas. The streaks weren’t bad, more like lines in my skin, it was weird.
I wish the color was darker, but for those of you only looking for a light to medium tan, this one was a nice color. It didn’t look orange to me, it was very natural.
It had brown undertones, which is always something I like to see in my self tanners.
How Long It Lasts
My tan lasted 4-5 days with this self tanner.
I think the self tanner itself is pretty moisturizing, so it helped prolong my tan. It became a little unnatural looking as it faded.
OK For Men?
I think the scent is too girly for men. But the color isn’t bad!
Price
Kashmere Sunless Tanning Lotion sells for $50, which is really expensive.
