Overall Opinion:

Surprisingly, Skin Drop’s Natural Self Tanner is one of our favorite self tanning lotions right now.

Why do I say “surprisingly”?

Because Skin Drop is best known for their retinol cream and moisturizers.

But this self tanner really is one of the best we’ve ever tried…

It all starts with the incredible smell.

It’s a sultry, tropical scent that smells good when you put it on, and even hours later as your tan develops.

I have no doubt that some people will think it’s the best smelling self tanner out there.  It really is THAT good!

Beyond that, the color this gave us was also excellent.  It’s a darker bronze color that, true to its name, looks very natural.

It also lasts a long time, fades very evenly and is affordable—all things we love.

So overall, we’re big fans of Skin Drop’s Natural Self Tanner and give it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This self tanner comes out of the tube as a white lotion.

It feels very slick and smooth to us.

Application

This one is very easy to apply in our opinion.

It glides over the skin and absorbs very quickly.

It also dries in just a few minutes and doesn’t have any trace of that “sticky” feeling that many self tanners have.

Because it’s white, it doesn’t rub off on bedsheets or towels—a major plus!

Keep in mind that this self tanner doesn’t have a “guide”.

So you’ll need to be a bit more careful where you’re applying it.

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that you should apply this with a mitt or gloves.  Otherwise, your palms could turn a color you don’t like!

Drying Time

Skin Drop Natural Self Tanner dries very quickly.  I’d say in 5-10 minutes it was completely dry.

More importantly, it didn’t feel sticky or wet once it did dry 😊

Smell (Before Application)

In my opinion, this is one of the best parts about Skin Drop.

This lotion smells SOOO good!

It’s seriously one of the best smelling scents I’ve ever smelled (for ANY lotion, not just self tanners).

It’s hard to describe but it’s like a sultry, tropical scent.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

To my surprise, this still smelled amazing the following morning after I applied it.

It wasn’t as strong, but I could still catch a whiff of that wonderful scent.

And there was zero trace of that tell-tale DHA smell that most self tanners have.

Color Produced

I’d say the color this one produced is dark, bronze, and very natural.

As far as the color scale goes, Skin Drop is darker than your “average” self tanner.

But it isn’t an orange, unnatural color.

It’s very beautiful and believable!

Another nice bonus, it’s very moisturizing.  It has things like Aloe Vera, Argan Oil, Snow Algae and Shea Butter that really luxuriate the skin 😊

How Long It Lasts

Skin Drop lasted about 5-6 days for us.

That’s about the best you can ask for despite what “some” self tanning companies say!

It also faded really nicely on us—no terrible streaks or splotches.

OK For Men?

Yeah, I think most men will like this because of the dark color and how long it lasts.

I’m not sure if 100% of men will like the tropical smell, but I’m guessing most will be ok with it.

Skin Drop Natural Self Tanner costs $24.95 per bottle, which is $4.99 per ounce.  That’s not bad at all considering how well this self tanner works.  And a little bit seems to go a long way!
