Overall Opinion:

I gave Selfie Tan’n Go 3 out of 5 starts, so I found it slightly better than average.

It has some major drawbacks in my opinion, otherwise I would have ranked it higher since the color is nice.

First off, the main ingredient in this mist is alcohol….umm no thank you!  You can definitely smell the alcohol in it; I started coughing as soon as I applied it to my skin!

The mist is also pretty messy while applying it; it got all over my shower floor.

The color it produces is a nice, medium shade.  I wish it would have been a shade or two darker, but the medium tan I had was golden and even.

Overall, the color was good, but there were some things I didn’t like about this one, so I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This is a continuous mist, with a brown guide in it.

The mist comes out evenly; the guide looks a bit uneven when applied to your skin.

Application

Application is extremely messy.

A lot of the excess mist falls to the ground, creating a brown sticky mess.

You absolutely must apply this one in your tub or your shower so you can wash away the residue.

I applied it in my shower, and it took a few minutes to completely wash away the excess product when I was finished.

This one has a brown guide, so your skin will look immediately bronzed.

I recommend taking a tanning mitt and blending areas where the product tends to pool after you apply the mist.

The mist is even, but the guide tends to pool up in a few areas.

Drying Time

Selfie Tan’n Go dried quickly.

My skin felt dry and smooth after only 10-15 minutes which was nice.

I also didn’t feel sticky at all which is a huge plus!

Smell (Before Application)

This one smells SO strongly of alcohol!

I actually started coughing when I was spraying this one because the alcohol smell is so overwhelming; it almost smells like rubbing alcohol.

I noticed that alcohol is listed as the main ingredient in this self tanner, so that explains why it smells so strongly.

It was disappointing to me that they used so much alcohol in the product.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next day the alcohol smell had dissipated, but in its place was DHA.

I hated waking up smelling like DHA.

Color Produced

After I washed the guide off, I was left with a golden, medium shade tan.

I actually really loved the way my tan looked.

It was sunkissed and very natural looking.

It said to leave on overnight for a dark tan, but I ended up with more of a medium shade.

I wish it was about two shades darker, but the tan I got was very nice looking.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted around 4-5 days before fading away.

It looked a bit splotchy and unnatural looking as it faded.

OK For Men?

Yes, but just be warned, the ingredients are bad and it reeks of alcohol!

It’s also messy to apply, but the results are nice.

Price

It’s works out to $6.08 per ounce including shipping.

That’s not too bad, just a bit more than average.

I just hate when companies charge you so much for shipping!
