Overall Opinion:
I gave Norvell Venetian Sunless Mousse 2.5 out of 5 stars, so it was right in the average range.
The one thing that stuck out to me that I really didn’t like was the color it produced. I ended up with a dark tan, but it looked grey! I’ve never experienced a tan this color, and I really didn’t like it. I’m not sure what caused the grey hue, maybe the guide?
Anyways, this one smells great, and the drying time and price are both decent. But I really couldn’t get past the color tan it produced.
So overall, I gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Norvell Venetian Sunless Mousse is an airy mousse with a nice texture.
It’s very dark in color, almost black.
Application
Application can be messy if you’re not careful with the dark guide.
It can get on your ground and towels, and it will stain!
The guide was a little difficult to rub in, and took a few minutes to do so.
Drying Time
This mousse took around 30 minutes to dry completely.
You have to be really careful while you wait for this one to dry because of the dark guide.
I felt sticky while I waited for it to dry, but overall the drying time was pretty average.
Smell (Before Application)
It smells SO good!
I loved the smell of this one, I couldn’t get enough.
It smells fruity, kind of like cherries and almonds, and maybe a bit tropical too.
I could still smell a little DHA, but it wasn’t very strong.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The DHA smell became stronger as the product developed, but I could still smell the sweet smell as well.
Color Produced
I have mixed feelings about the color this one produces.
It produced a dark tan, but the tan had a greyish hue to it, so I didn’t really like the appearance of it.
I’m not sure why my tan looked grey, but it definitely wasn’t very natural looking. Which sucks, because it was dark, which I usually like.
My tan was pretty even, and I didn’t have any noticeable splotches.
How Long It Lasts
It faded after about 4 days.
As it faded it became scaley and my skin kind of dried out.
OK For Men?
I don’t think men will like the grey tan that this one produced.
Price
Norvell Venetian Sunless Mousse is $3.75 per ounce which is a little less than your average self tanner.
