Overall Opinion:

I ended up giving Beauty By Earth Self Tanner 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I love the natural color it produces, and how it tends to use mostly natural ingredients.

The smell is very light and sweet smelling.

The one thing I really didn’t like is how long it took to blend into my skin.  My body was completely white for about 10 minutes while I blended the product in, it wouldn’t absorb for some reason.  It seriously took A LOT of work.

The other thing that prevented me from ranking it higher was I wish the color was a bit darker.

My tan was a light to medium natural shade, which is good for those of you looking for a lighter tan.

Look and Feel

Beauty By Earth Self Tanner is a very thick, white lotion.

It has the consistency of sunscreen, and doesn’t have any color guide in it.

Application

I thought application would be simple and fast, but this lotion took forever to blend in!

It was like rubbing white sunscreen all over my body for 10 minutes.

My whole body was white and I couldn’t get the product to blend in for the life of me!

Finally after blending for around 10 minutes it started to soak into my skin.

This is the main reason I couldn’t rank this lotion higher.

At least there is no color guard to worry about, and other then the blending, the application was clean.

Drying Time

After I was able to fully blend the product in, it took about 15 minutes to dry which isn’t too bad.

I had expected the product to take longer to dry just because of how hard it was to blend in, but I was pleasantly surprised it only took 15 minutes.

Smell (Before Application)

This one has a very light smell.  It smells like coconuts, I really enjoyed the scent.

I wish the smell was a bit stronger, but at least I didn’t smell any DHA!

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The coconut smell was gone by the next day, but I still couldn’t smell any DHA which was nice.

Color Produced

The next day after I showered I had a light-colored tan.

It wasn’t dark, but it was a very nice looking light to medium shade.

I was extremely pleased with the color; it looked like I had been out in the sun for a few days.

The color wasn’t orange at all, and it wasn’t scaly or streaky either which is a huge plus!

For me personally, I would’ve liked the color to be a bit darker, but those who are looking for a lighter to medium tan will really like the results.

How Long It Lasts

After about 3 days my tan faded.  It faded very nicely, and didn’t look patchy at all.

OK For Men?

Yes, I think men who are looking for a subtle tan will like this one!
