Overall Opinion:

Loving Tan 2 Hour Express impressed me so I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

The convenience factor is a huge plus in my eyes.  This one is great to use last minute before a night out, or if you just need a quick tan!  It develops in 2 hours and then you’re good to go.

The color is deep and natural, and the product goes on very smoothly with a dark guide.

The smell isn’t the greatest, but at least you can wash it off after 2 hours.

I feel like this is a great self tanning option for those looking for a fast “express” tan.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Loving Tan 2 Hour Express is a bubble mousse with an airy texture.

The mousse is dark brown in color, giving it a very dark guide.

Application

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this self tanner was to apply.

The dark guide blended into my skin nicely and wasn’t streaky.

I highly recommend using a tanning mitt when applying this one to protect your palms from the dark guide, and also to help rub the product into your skin.

Drying Time

This mousse took about 30 minutes to dry, and I felt a little sticky while it was drying.

The good news is you can wash this one off after 2 hours.

The bad news is you need to be careful not to stain anything with the dark guide.

I just sit on a towel and watch TV for 2-3 hours before washing this one off :)

Smell (Before Application)

This one isn’t the best smelling, but it’s not the worst either.

You can smell a little bit of DHA, but it’s mixed with some sort of fragrance.

I don’t really know how to explain the fragrance…it smells a little sweet and nutty.

I definitely didn’t love the smell, but it didn’t bother me too much.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

I could faintly smell the DHA on my skin while I waited the 2 hours for the color to develop.

The DHA smell didn’t get worse, but the smell was still there.

At lease you get to wash this one off after a few hours and the smell goes away.

Color Produced

I washed Loving Tan 2 Hour Express Dark off after 2 hours.  I was left with a medium to dark shade tan that looked very even and streak free.

I wouldn’t say it was “dark” when I washed it off, but over the next few hours it became dark.

I really loved the color it produced, it was bronzey and natural…not orange at all!

The dark guide washed off in the shower, and I was left with my bronze tan.

This one would be perfect when you’re in a pinch or need a fast tan for a night out.

How Long It Lasts

I still had some color after 5 days, but by day 6 my tan was gone.

That’s very good in comparison to most self tanners.

It faded very smoothly and naturally.

OK For Men?

Yes, I think men will like Loving Tan 2 Hour Express if they’re looking for a quick way to get a nice, dark tan.

Price

A 4-ounce bottle sells for $39.95, which is pretty expensive.

But you pay for what you get, and this is better than your average self tanner.

It breaks down to $9.99 per ounce, which is definitely on the high end.
