Overall Opinion:

L’Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer is a pretty good drugstore self tanner.  I actually am very pleased with the color this tanner produces, so I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I would’ve ranked it a little higher, but I just couldn’t because of the ingredient list.

This L’Oreal self tanner is a gradual tanner, that also doubles as a moisturizer.  It’s meant to be applied daily until you reach your desired shade of tan.  After only one application, I saw a light tan and my tan deepened to a medium shade with daily use.  I really love the tan this one produces, it’s golden and smooth.  Now, it’s not a super high end tanner, but for a drugstore self tanner, I’m impressed.

You also can’t beat the cheap price of this moisturizer.  It’s only $12.00 per bottle, which is good because you’ll go through this one pretty fast with how often you use it.

One thing I really don’t like about this self tanner is the ingredient list.  It’s packed with a bunch of junk, not to mention at least 5 parabens!  Nowadays I hardly ever see parabens in self tanner, just because there’s no need for them anymore.  Everyone knows they do more harm than good.

Unfortunately, I won’t be using this self tanner again because of the ingredients so I really hope L’Oreal can modify their formula soon because the color is nice!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

L’Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer is a thick body moisturizer, that has a cream colored appearance.  There is no color guide in this self tanner.

This product is on the thicker side as it’s also a body cream meant to moisturize.

An odd thing about this self tanner is it has shimmer in it too, which I didn’t expect.

Application

I found this L’Oreal self tanner is pretty easy to apply.  It’s a thick lotion, so it takes a little bit of time to completely blend in.  But other than that, it’s pretty simple and clean.

I used a mitt even though there’s no brown color; I still wanted to protect my hands.  I ended up being glad I used a mitt because there was shimmer all over my mitt!

Since this daily moisturizer is on the thicker side, I used up a ton of product with each application.  This whole bottle will probably only last 3-4 applications (and it’s a pretty big bottle!)

Drying Time

Once applied, it dried in about 30 minutes.  It stayed kind of sticky on my skin after it dried, however.  It wasn’t as sticky as some I’ve tried, but I could still feel that wet feeling on my skin.

This is a heavier lotion, and it definitely felt like it on my skin.

Smell (Before Application)

L’Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer has a pretty heavy scent.  It smells very strongly of perfume.  I personally am not a fan of the scent

I wish it was a little less strong, however.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next morning I could smell DHA, which I really didn’t like.  It smelled like a typical self tanner after it developed.

Color Produced

This product is a gradual self tanner; it says you’ll see color within 2-3 uses.  Honestly I saw some color after my first application.

After one application, I had a light tan that was so natural looking.  After 2 more applications, I had a really nice medium tan.  I was really impressed with the color.  I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did.

For a gradual tanner, I really like this color.  With daily use, you can maintain a nice, medium tan that looks brown and sunkissed.

The only problem is that if you use this one daily, you’ll go through a bottle really quickly.  Good thing it’s cheap!

How Long It Lasts

If you don’t maintain your tan daily, this one only lasts about 3 days.  So you’ll really need to apply this one every day or every other day.

OK For Men?

If you’re looking for a gradual self tanner, I think this one produces a really nice glow.  However, the ingredients are a little iffy in my opinion.

Price

L’Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer is only $1.50 per ounce, you can’t beat that price point!
