Overall Opinion:

After trying out Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes, I gave it 2 out of 5 stars.  There are some obvious pros and cons to this self tanner.

On the positive side, it does produce a very natural color, and for someone who is new to trying self tanners, this could be a good choice since the color is very light.  However, this might be a con for anyone who is looking for an obvious change in his or her coloring.

It also has a nice scent to it, and dries super fast, so it doesn’t add a long step to your routine, which was a positive for me.

Unfortunately, the lack of color guard makes it difficult to cover every area on your body, which led to a more blotchy-looking tan.  And a single towelette doesn’t cover your whole body, so you really only end up getting 3 tans in one box of product.  This is definitely not the cheapest option for that reason!

Overall, this could be a good option for some people, but there are better options available.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

There isn’t much to report about the look of Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes.  They look like larger hand sanitizing towelettes—white cloth soaked in colorless liquid.

The towelette is very comfortable to apply.  It has a moisturizing feel to it, and doesn’t leave behind any sticky residue.

Application

I found these sunless tanning towelettes fairly easy to apply.  There’s no color guard with it, so it’s a bit tricky to see that you’re fully covering each portion of your entire body.

Additionally, I don’t think one towelette can adequately cover your entire body.  In fact, I used a single towelette just to adequately cover my legs, so I think this would require at least two for your entire body.

Once I rubbed the Jergens SOL Full Body Towelette, it felt very comfortable and didn’t leave any lasting sticky feeling.  It didn’t feel like I had anything on my legs actually.

Jergens doesn’t direct to rinse off post-application, so I almost immediately got dressed.  Super easy in that regard, since it didn’t add much time to my day!

Drying Time

Because this towelette has a very thin liquid to it, it dried extremely fast.  Just 5 minutes after I applied Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes, I was putting jeans on.

I loved the fast dry time for this product because it truly made self-tanning as easy as possible.

Smell (Before Application)

I enjoyed the scent of Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes.  They don’t smell like an old-school self tanner.

Instead, they have a nice, subtle perfume scent to them.  I can’t place an exact odor to it, but it made me smell good, not like I had recently self tanned.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

Really until I took my next shower the following morning, the same scent that was there post-application continued to linger on my body.

So while the odor is subtle, it definitely hangs around until you have time to rinse off.

Color Produced

Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes says that in four hours, you’ll start to see the color appear.  For me, I didn’t notice any change until around six hours.  At that point, however, I did see a minor change.

The color really peaked for me 24 hours later, which is what Jergens instructed would happen.  It’s definitely a more natural-looking tan—both in color and in how dark it made me.

In fact, if it wasn’t for the areas I had missed due to the lack of color guard, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed I was that much tanner in general, so it’s definitely not a super rich tan.

Also, the lack of color guard resulted in a pretty blotchy tan since I clearly missed a few areas with the towelettes.

However, I did like the color it produced overall.  There wasn’t any orange undertone—it looked like I had laid out in the sun for the afternoon, so I enjoyed that aspect of it.

How Long It Lasts

Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes says it’s going to last 4-5 days.  I found that it was really more like 3-4 days that I had the color I wanted.

OK For Men?

I think this is a fine option for men!  If you’re looking for a subtle tan, especially if you’re a man newly into tanning, this could be a good option.

Price

I think Jergens SOL Full Body Towelettes are pretty expensive.  Like I said previously, this only comes with six wipes, and I think you need two to cover your entire body adequately.

So you’re only getting three tans per package, which is going to cost you almost $7.  That seems expensive to me!
