Overall Opinion:

Overall, I’m very pleased with this self tanner.

I got really great results; I had a dark brown tan that looked so natural!  I think most people will love the color this one produces.

It was also pretty easy to apply compared to most mousses.  In my opinion, lotions are always easier to apply.  But they make it easy on you by including a mitt and back applicator.  They also include an exfoliating mitt, which comes in handy when prepping to self tan.

The price is higher than average, but when you factor in everything you get, it’s actually a good deal.

It smells like apple, which I really like.

The only thing is, some of the tan came off on my sheets and clothes.  I’m just happy it came out in the wash.

But overall, I really like this tan and definitely recommend it!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Get Tan Self Tanner is a mousse with a brown guide.  The guide is dark, but not quite black.  It has a brown color.

The mousse is fluffy and easy to apply with the tanning mitt that comes with it.

Application

They make this mousse very easy to apply.

When you purchase this mousse, they send you a tanning mitt as well as an exfoliating mitt and back applicator.  The back applicator is a plastic stick with a sponge on the end of it.

All these things combined give you about everything you need to get a nice tan.

I used the tanning mitt to apply everywhere to my body, besides my back.  And when it came to my back, I used the back applicator and it made application very easy.

This mousse is easy to blend in, my skin kind of just seems to soak it up.  My back was left looking a little splotchy after application, but that was just from the guide and it washed off the next day.

Drying Time

This mousse dried in about 15-20 minutes.  Once I applied it, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my skin didn’t feel sticky at all.  A lot of the time with mousses, my skin feels sticky and wet after application, which makes waiting for the product to dry very uncomfortable.

A little bit of this self tanner came off on my clothes and sheets, but thankfully it came out in the wash.

Smell (Before Application)

Get Tan Self Tanner smells really good.  It has a light, fruity smell.

To me, it smells like apple cinnamon.  But I saw on the ingredient list it has Gooseberry, Acai, and Fig, so maybe it’s a mixture of those?

Needless to say, it smells really good.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

After my tan developed, I still couldn’t smell much DHA.

The apple smell had mostly faded, but at least I wasn’t overwhelmed with DHA scent, which is always a plus!

Color Produced

I’m very impressed by the color this self tanning mousse produces.

After just one application, I had a dark, natural looking tan.  My tan definitely didn’t look like it came from a bottle, it looked like I just returned from a beach vacation.

My tan was about 3-4 shades darker, and wasn’t orange at all.

It was smooth, I had no streaks or splotchy areas.

For me, this color was perfect.

Now, if you’re looking for a lighter or more gradual tan, this probably isn’t the one for you.  But for those of you who want a natural looking bronzer glow, this is a great option.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted about 4-5 days after using this product.

I was pleased with how well it faded too.  It didn’t become splotchy or patchy looking like a lot of dark self tanners do.

OK For Men?

Yes, I think men will like the color this one produces.  It also smells good and comes with all the tools needed to tan at home.

Price

Get Tan Self Tanner is $44.00 per bottle.  That sounds like a lot of money (because it is a lot of money), but when you factor in they send you an exfoliating mitt, tanning mitt, and back applicator, the price becomes much more reasonable.
