Overall Opinion:
I gave Eco Tan Invisible Tan 3.5 out of 5 stars, so I did enjoy this self tanner.
The two drawbacks of the self tanner are its super pricey cost and the smell. If you’re in the USA, you have to pay a good amount to have it shipped here, so it works out to $10.95 per ounce. That’s one of the most expensive tanners I’ve seen.
The smell is a very strong DHA scent. I really didn’t like how potent the DHA smell was, it stuck with me until the next morning.
Now on to the good…the color is amazing! I woke up and looked dark and bronze, and my tan was so smooth!
I didn’t have any areas that looked splotchy; my tan was so even.
Drying time and the time my tan lasted were both pretty average.
So overall, this tanner is better than most self tanners out there.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Eco Tan Invisible Tan is a light tan, almost yellow lotion.
The lotion has a velvety texture, which makes it easy to apply.
The lotion is pretty thick, but it doesn’t feel really thick on your body.
Application
Applying this lotion was pretty easy.
I used a tanning mitt and it went on very smoothly and was easy to blend in.
The lotion is a yellow color, but it doesn’t act as a guide. The color fades away as soon as you blend it into your skin.
It actually turns a white-ish color when you blend it in, until your skin completely soaks it up.
Drying Time
Drying time was a little quicker than average.
It only took about 15-20 minutes for the product to dry, and after it did my skin felt nice and smooth.
It’s nice not having to worry about a color guide staining anything while I waited for it to dry as well.
Smell (Before Application)
The smell is one thing I really didn’t like about this tanner.
It reeks of DHA. The smell is very pungent and it sticks with you for a while.
I didn’t smell any perfume or fragrance in here at all….yuck!
The smell was really bad, it smells like old school self tanners that don’t use any scent to cover the DHA smell.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The next few hours and the next morning I could still smell DHA on my body.
This is one I couldn’t wait to shower off and get rid of the self tanning smell!
Color Produced
This is where this self tanner sets itself apart….it produces a really nice even tan.
After I washed the tanner off, I was left with a very smooth and even tan that was a medium to dark shade.
I loved the way my tan looked and I was surprised by how even and natural it looked.
I’d say I was about 3 shades darker after one use, and I was happy with the deep bronze color it gave me.
How Long It Lasts
My tan lasted about 4-5 days before it started to fade.
It faded very evenly, like a natural tan would.
OK For Men?
Yes, I think men will like this one; the color is great.
The two drawbacks are the very expensive price tag and the DHA smell.
But, I think the color is really nice and natural looking.
Price
Eco Tan Invisible Tan is $10.95 per ounce, that’s extremely expensive.
If you’re in Australia it’s a bit cheaper because you don’t have to pay the higher shipping costs.
