Overall Opinion:
Of all the spray tanners that we have reviewed, Body Drench Quick Tan is one of the easiest to apply. However, you have to apply it every day, which becomes cumbersome. It’s spray nozzle makes it easy to reach tough areas while keeping your hands relatively free of the mess.
Body Drench Quick Tan Instant Self Tanner is meant to be applied every morning before you start your day. The color develops slightly throughout the day but the bronzer will hold a full work day.
Body Drench is not the type of tanner that you would apply at night to sleep while it develops and then shower off the guide in the morning. It is a gradual tanner that will take consistent days of application to show any real color change. Which is kind of a pain.
It dries very fast which makes it easier to get ready in a hurry. However, if you wash your face or hands anytime throughout the day and water droplets get on your skin, you will notice watery rings of tanner will form. That was one major downfall that we found. Also, as far as color change we were a little disappointed by the fair color that resulted from this Medium to Dark tanner.
Body Drench Quick Tan has a lot of great qualities. But, its subtle color and reaction to water and sweat put it average on our list of self tanners earning 3 out of 5 stars.

Look and Feel
Body Drench Quick Tan Instant Self Tanner is a medium brown liquid that sprays out.
Application
The 360 degree nozzle on this product makes it easy to cover the hard to reach places (like your back and shoulders) because it can be tipped upside down and will still spray even. Instructions tell you to hold the can 10 inches away from you when spraying your body.
I find that once the spray gets going, Body Drench Quick Tan sprays pretty evenly. But there’s an evident spray line at the start and stop points. I rubbed the tanner in after covering my body to be sure that it was spread evenly over my skin. I would advise doing the same, otherwise the spray lines will be really bad.
I was inconsistent in spraying 10 inches away (oopsies!) And the closer that I held the can to my body the more concentrated the tanner was.
Drying Time
Body Drench Quick Tan dries super fast as soon as it hits your skin. There’s about a 5 second window that I had to rub in the product after spraying it before it felt completely dry on my skin.
Smell (Before Application)
I really like the smell of Body Drench Quick Tan Instant Self Tanner. I can smell the walnut extract, it smells like a lotions I’ve bought at Bath & Body Works.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
The walnut smell stays consistent throughout the day. It isn’t super overwhelming by any means. After I put my perfume on I couldn’t smell the product anymore.
Color Produced
After the initial application I didn’t notice much change in color. There was only a tint of bronzing that I could see shimmering on my skin. The directions advise that you should use this product every single day and by the 3rd day your skin color will develop into a natural tan.
We tested the Medium-Dark expecting the color to be rather drastic. The color produced for the Medium to Dark looked more like what you would expect from a Fair to Medium self tanner.
It serves as a good bronzer and gradual self tanner but if you’re looking for a drastic Bahamas beach tan after one application, you will be mistaken.
How Long It Lasts
Body Drench Quick Tan Instant Self Tanner is meant to be applied every day in order to maintain skin bronzing. You will see your maximum color between day 3 and 5 of using it consistently each morning.
At that point, if you use the product 2-3 times per week you will maintain your maximum color for as long as you are committed to.
So as far as how long it lasts, unfortunately not very long. With this product, you have to go through the cumbersome process of applying it day after day after day…
OK For Men?
Not really. Guys will not like having to go through the application process day after day after day. Most men will be better off with a product they just have to apply once a week!
