Top 10 Ingredients:  Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Glycerin, Dihydroxyacetone, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid Copolymer, Cyclpentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Steareth-21, Tocopheryl Acetate

Overall Opinion:

Xen Tan Face Tanner Light is meant to be exactly what it’s called– a light face tanner.  In that regard, this product is a little above average, but definitely has a few shortcomings.

On the plus side, it’s very easy to apply and lasts for 3-4 days, which is good.

On the minus side, the smell’s not great and the color is a little TOO light.

Overall though, I’d say this product is good but not great.  It does some things very well, but falls flat on others.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Xen Tan Face Tanner Light is a white-colored lotion.  It’s pretty light in texture as well as feel.

Application

The application of this Xen Tan product isn’t too bad.  The lotion is very thin and glides across the face fairly easily.  However, there is no guide color in it (which some of you like, and some don’t).

Drying Time

Xen Tan Face Tanner Light takes a little longer to dry then you’d think.  It’s not too bad, but you’ll need to be careful you don’t get any water on your skin, or accidentally rub it off, for at least 30 minutes.

Smell (Before Application)

We’re not a huge fan of the smell of this Xen Tan product.  It smells kind of citrusy– almost like a faint trace of lemon or lime.  No doubt some people will like it, but we’re not particularly fond of it.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

After we washed this off the next day, we could smell a bot of that DHA odor that we’re all so desperate too avoid.  It wasn’t the worst we’ve smelled, but it definitely wasn’t the best either.

Color Produced

The color produced from Sen tan Face Tanner Light is just ok.  It’s probably not dark enough for those who want to look like they have a noticeable tan.  And for us, there was something off on the color.  It was hard to put our finger on it, but it just didn’t look great :(

How Long It Lasts

Xen Tan Face Tanner Light lasted 3-4 days, which isn’t bad for a face self tanner.  These products don’t tend to last as long as body tanners simply because most people wash their face much more than their body.

Skin Care

As for how my skin reacted to this product, the results were so-so.

We did see a little bit of clogged pores and even had a minor breakout as the color was developing.  It wasn’t as bad as we’ve seen with other self tanners for the face, but we’ve definitely tested better.

OK For Men?

This could go either way.  The color produced is light enough that some guys will like.  Many others will be turned off by the smell.

Price

Xen tan Face Tanner costs $21.00 for an 2.7 0z bottle.  That works out to about $7.77 per ounce.  For a face tanner, that’s a bit on the high side but not ridiculous.  As many of you know, face tanners tend to be more expensive, per pounce, than body tanners.
