Overall Opinion:

I like the B.Tan product line, so I was really excited to try out their Fake It Till You Make It tanning mousse.

Just as I’d experienced with the other B.Tan products I’ve tried, this tanning mousse was super easy to apply, and didn’t require much of a time commitment to see gorgeous results.

The beautiful tan I did achieve also lasted 3 full days, so overall, I loved this product!

However, the reason it didn’t get an even higher star rating is because I didn’t achieve as dark of a tan as I have with other B.Tan products, including ones that are marketed as a medium tan. So that aspect was a bit surprising and disappointing.

B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a medium, natural-looking tan!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse feels like any other tanning mousse, so it’s super easy to apply.

It also has a dark green/brown color guard, which was super helpful with application. The color guard left my skin with an immediately tanner complexion, which was a nice added bonus for this product.

The mousse was comfortable when applying as well, and while it was pretty sticky post-application, I’d still consider this a comfortable self-tanner (I’ve grown to accept stickiness with mousses).

Application

B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse is very easy to apply.

Unlike many other products, however, this mousse was very easy to layer on top of the first coat of product. This allowed for me to touch up missed areas, and led to a streak-free tan.

Once the product was applied, I waited 90 minutes before rinsing off in the shower, but you can leave it on for 4+ hours.

Drying Time

The dry time for this mousse is about 30 minutes. I felt pretty sticky to the point that I wouldn’t have dressed or sat down on any furniture until then.

After that point, the stickiness decreased significantly before I rinsed off.

I wish it wasn’t so sticky initially post-application because the color guard  leaves you with a nice bronze look so I would’ve liked to leave the house with it on!

Smell (Before Application)

I really couldn’t smell much of anything from B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse. It simply doesn’t have a strong scent overall.

However, the bit of odor I did pick up smelled like self-tanner, so they didn’t try to mask the scent in this self-tanner as they do with some of their other products.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The longer I wore B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse, the stronger the self-tanner scent was, so that odor unfortunately grew the longer I waited to rinse off.

Since the smell was pretty minor to begin with, however, it really wasn’t a big deal and still didn’t develop into an overwhelming scent.

Color Produced

Overall, I’m happy with the tan I achieved with B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse. The color is very natural, and doesn’t contain any orange undertones.

I am a little disappointed at how dark the tan is, however. I’ve used some of their other products marketed for medium tans, left them on for the same amount of time, and achieved a darker tan than I did with this product, marketed as a dark tan.

So while the tan itself is beautiful, and I’m sure you could make it darker if you left the tanner on for longer, I’m a little disappointed that it’s more of a medium color.

How Long It Lasts

The tan I achieved with B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse lasted for three days, and faded very nicely.

OK For Men?

Yes!

Price

As is the case with all of B.Tan’s products, this price tag is so affordable, especially for the amount of product you get.

Aside from the amazing price, however, the results I achieved with B.Tan Fake It Till You Make It Tanning Mousse make it worth every penny.

If you’re trying to achieve a super dark tan in a limited amount of time, however, I would recommend trying out one of their other self-tanners as I had better luck with them personally.

This one is still worth the money, though!
