Overall Opinion:

I’m really happy with the tan I achieved using A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone, which is why I gave this product a high star rating.  However, it doesn’t get a perfect score because it isn’t user-friendly!

On the positive side, this tanner is easy to apply with minimal, if any, streaking, and leaves you with a dark tan that lasts for days.  Not much more you can ask for, right?

However, this is also a pricier self-tanner that reeks of the old school self-tanner smell, and takes over an hour before you feel less sticky.  Not all that easy to work into your routine, if you ask me!

While there are obvious pros and cons, A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone is a great option if you’re looking for a dark, natural, gorgeous tan!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

This self-tanner has a dark brown color guard to it.  When you apply the product to your body, it has a green undertone to it, as well.

However, by the time you rinse off A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone, the color has actually turned into a nice tan color—not nearly as unattractive as it is when you initially put it on!

The tanner is very uncomfortable to wear post-application due to the stickiness of the product, but it’s a very smooth and moisturizing tanner to apply.

Application

A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone is probably the easiest foam self-tanner I’ve ever applied.  I don’t know what it is about the formula, but it rubs in so easily!

I felt like I was applying a moisturizer, not a tanner, with how well it rubbed in and covered all areas on my body.  I didn’t even have to go over any areas where I missed a spot, which is very telling!

Once you’ve applied the tanner, you have to wait 1-3 hours before rinsing it off, which is super unfortunate since this product is super sticky!  I felt really uncomfortable until I could rinse it off, so that aspect of the application is unfortunate.

You also can’t get dressed or sit down until you rinse it off, so this is a tanner you have to reserve a chunk of your time at home for.

Drying Time

The dry time for A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone is probably the worst part about the product.  It wasn’t until at least an hour post-application that I stopped being super sticky.

This definitely isn’t a tanner you can wear out of the house.  I couldn’t sit down anywhere or put any clothes on really until I rinsed it off after two hours.  But the super stickiness lasted for an hour.

This overall wasn’t a comfortable tanner to wear.

Smell (Before Application)

A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone smells like a self-tanner.  The scent isn’t very strong with this foam, but they also didn’t try to mask the product smell with any other odor.

I don’t mind this too much since sometimes brands try to cover up the self-tanner smell and it ends up smelling worse.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

Although I wasn’t surprised, the self-tanner odor that was with the product initially only grew stronger the longer I had it on.

I personally hate that smell, so this was a negative for me.

Color Produced

I absolutely love the tan I achieved with A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone.  I kept the tanner on for two hours before rinsing it off, and when I got out of the shower, I was initially disappointed with how the tan looked.

Especially since this isn’t a comfortable self-tanner to wear, I was worried you had to wear it even longer than that to see more color.

However, after about 6-8 hours post-rinse, my tan looked amazing!  It got so much darker as the hours ticked by, and I looked awesome.

The tan is a very natural color, and so much darker than what I normally get with self-tanners.  I love it!

How Long It Lasts

The tan I achieved with A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone lasted for 3-4 days, which I was really impressed with.

It also faded really nicely, so I didn’t experience any strange streaking or blotchiness as the color went away.

OK For Men?

Yes!

Price

A Bronztail The One Tan + Tone is definitely on the pricier side.  However, it’s definitely worth the money!

The results it delivers and how long the tan lasts justify the higher price tag.
