Overall Opinion:
Xen Tan Dark, Deep Bronze Luxe is a pretty good self tanner in our opinion.
It has a pleasant smell, isn’t too difficult to apply and produces a nice, medium color that will work well for most people.
The light tint can be a bit messy during application, so be mindful of that.
But overall, this is a very good product that works well.
Detailed Review:
Look and Feel
Xen Tan Dark Deep Bronze Luxe comes out of the tube as a light brown-colored lotion. It’s consistency is pretty light.
Application
Applying this product really isn’t too bad, as long as you’re prepared.
Because it has a light tint to it, we would suggest wearing gloves.
Once you’ve done that, Xen Tan Dark applies quickly and easily, and doesn’t make too much of a mess (although you need to be careful not to get it on clothes or towels).
Drying Time
Like most lotions, this product takes about an hour or so to dry.
We would suggest waiting at least that long before putting on clothes or getting into bed. Otherwise, you could see some of the color getting onto those things.
Once this product does dry, it’s not bad about getting all over things.
Smell (Before Application)
We really like the smell of Xen Tan Dark right out of the tube. It has a light, almost chocolate pudding smell to it. We can’t imagine too many people objecting to that!
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
This product maintains basically the same smell after a few hours and the next day, except it’s much lighter.
Also, there really wasn’t any trace of that signature “self tanning smell” that lesser products exhibit.
Color Produced
The color produced by Xen Tan Dark Deep Bronze Luxe is very good.
It turns out as an even, medium-colored bronze without any few signs of streaking or blotchiness.
How Long It Lasts
Xen Tan Dark Deep Bronze Luxe lasts longer than most self tanners out there. It stayed on for about 4-5 days, which is excellent.
Once it started to fade, we saw a little patchiness, but not enough for any serious concern :)
OK For Men?
This isn’t a bad choice for men but the candy-like smell and slight tint when applying may turn some of you off.

Xen Tan Dark Deep Bronze Luxe costs $40 for an 8 ounce tube. That works out to an even $5.00 an ounce, which isn’t too bad considering how well this lotion performs and how long it lasts.
