Overall Opinion:
I ended up giving Thermalabs Natural Self Tanner 3.5/5 stars.
So I liked this one, there were only one or two things I didn’t care for.
First off, this one is so easy to apply. It’s a creamy lotion, and the texture is very nice. It’s not too thick and hard to blend in, and it’s not too thin that it gets all over the place. It very much resembles your typical body lotion.
The smell is a little strong for my liking. It smells very strongly of floral, and the smell is nice, just way too strong.
I was very happy with the color this one gave me. I got a nice medium to dark shade tan. It was probably more on the medium side, but it was so natural looking.
My tan only lasted for about 2 days before it faded and became a bit splotchy.
The price is awesome at $3.33 per ounce. That’s less than average, and I’d say this product is worth it.
Overall, I liked Thermalabs and gave it 3.5/5 stars.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Thermalabs Natural Self Tanner is a white, creamy lotion.
There’s no guide in it and it has a nice texture…not too thick, not too thin.
Application
Application is so easy.
You apply it just like you would your normal body lotion.
You don’t have to worry about a dark guide staining anything, which is nice.
You can choose to wear a tanning mitt if you’d like to, but I didn’t and my hands were fine.
The lotion is a nice consistency; it’s not too thick. So it blends nicely into your skin.
Drying Time
Once I applied it, it took about 20-25 minutes to dry.
So it was pretty average as far as drying times go.
I didn’t feel sticky or wet while I was waiting for it to dry, so that was a huge plus.
Smell (Before Application)
Thermalabs has a very strong floral scent to it.
It’s definitely better than smelling DHA, but the smell was a little too strong.
I actually liked the smell, they just need to dial it down a tad bit.
The good news is I didn’t smell any DHA at all.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
When I woke up the next morning I could still smell hints of floral on my body.
I was glad the smell was muted a bit, and it smelled really nice!
Color Produced
After one application I had a very smooth, medium to dark shade tan.
I was really happy with the color, it looked so natural and sun kissed.
I had one streak on my leg, but I think that’s because I missed applying it there due to the lack of guide.
So if you aren’t used to applying products without a color guide, be careful with this one.
The color was probably more of a medium shade, but was a little darker than your average “medium”.
If the color was about 1 shade darker I would’ve liked it a little more.
Overall, I really liked the color and would definitely use this one again to achieve the medium to dark tan I got.
How Long It Lasts
This one didn’t last too long.
It faded after about 2-3 days, which was a little disappointing.
You’ll need to apply bi-weekly in order to keep your tan looking fresh.
As it faded I got splotchy in some areas like my thighs, it didn’t look too pretty.
OK For Men?
Yes, I think men will like this one.
It’s super easy and convenient to apply, the color is nice, and you can’t beat the price!
Price
Thermalabs Natural Self Tanner comes in a 6 ounce bottle and sells for $19.99.
That works out to $3.33 per ounce, which is a little less than average, so it’s very affordable.
