Overall Opinion:

Overall, I really like St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse so I gave it 4.3 out of 5 stars.

This formula is great.  I got a dark tan after only one application, and my tan lasted a full 5-6 days.

The smell is decent; it’s light and fresh.

I wasn’t a fan of the drying time, especially because I did feel a bit sticky while I waited.

But all in all, I was very pleased with my results and I would recommend St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse is a dark brown foamy mousse.  The guide is one of the darker ones out there.

The mousse has nice texture and I found it easy to apply due to the texture of the mousse.

Application

This mousse if very easy to apply, even though it has a dark guide.

The mousse is fluffy and doesn’t melt too fast.

Using a tanning mitt makes it very easy to blend in.

It goes on so smoothly, and you don’t need to overly blend it in.

The dark brown color provides a nice color so you know exactly where you’re applying the mousse.

Another thing I like about this foam is that it doesn’t dry TOO quickly.  Sometimes with mousses they dry too fast and you don’t even get the chance to blend them into your skin.

Just make sure you apply this one carefully; if you get any on your palms or anywhere you don’t want it to be, it will stain.

After I finished applying, I was already left looking bronzed!

Drying Time

This is the one drawback of this self tanner.

It takes about 35-40 minutes to dry completely, and while I waited for it to dry I felt sticky.

But I’ve found this to be the case with a lot of mousses, so I think it’s normal.

I do wish it dried faster, but it wasn’t the worst I’ve experienced.

Smell (Before Application)

This one smells okay.

It smells fresh and light, but it also smells a little like laundry detergent.

Personally, I like the smell of laundry detergent, but I know some of you don’t

The good news is the smell is light and it does a pretty good job covering up the DHA.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The fresh smell stuck with me to the next morning, although it did fade.

I could smell some DHA the next morning, but nothing that was too bad.

Color Produced

This is where St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse really shines.

I got a deep, brown tan from this mousse.

It was very dark; I loved the color.  On me the color was very natural looking, but those of you who are very pale may find the color a bit orange because it’s so dark.

My tan resembled a tan you’d get from laying out at the beach for a week.

I was very pleased with how bronzed I was.

I think this is a lot like their original formula, but darker…which I think is great.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted for 5-6 days.

It didn’t start fading too much until the 5th day, which is very impressive.

It also faded pretty evenly, besides a few dry areas that looked patchy.

OK For Men?

Yes, I definitely think men will like this one.

It’s a very dark color, easy to apply, and doesn’t smell horrible.

Price

St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse is $44.00 per bottle which sounds very expensive.

When you break it down, it’s $6.57 per ounce, which is still on the pricier side, but in my opinion it’s worth it.
