Overall Opinion:

We gave Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes 2.5 out of 5 stars, so in our eyes it was pretty average.

The application was very simple and hassle free which we liked.

We also like the convenience and the smell of the Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes.

These are easy to throw in your suitcase or gym bag, and your can apply them pretty much anywhere due to the clean application process.

However, we weren’t impressed with the color they produced.

The color was SO light, it’s almost not worth it to apply a self tanner to get a shade this light.

The color also faded really quickly.

My tan was completely gone within 2 days of applying it.

And with each towelette being $6, that’s a very steep price tag to pay for a very light tan that lasts only 2 days.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

These are towelettes, they mimic baby wipes or wet wipes.

They are white in color, so there is no guide with this product.

Application

It’s SO easy to apply Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes.

That’s one of the best things about these, the ease of application.

You don’t have to worry about the product getting all over and staining anything, as the product is contained to the towelette it’s on.

You simply rub the wipes all over your body until you have covered all areas.

The thing I didn’t like about these is that it will take about 2-3 wipes to cover your entire body.

And at $6 per towelette, that’s not cheap!

You also will go through your entire box in 2-3 tans.

Drying Time

These dried completely in under 10 minutes which was nice.

Because you aren’t applying a liquid or lotion product straight to your skin, it doesn’t feel very wet when you put it on.

The product is on the wipe, so a lot of it is absorbed by that before applying to your skin.

Smell (Before Application)

These smelled very citrusy and fresh.

Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes have a pretty strong lemony scent to them, I liked the smell.

I didn’t smell any DHA, that was a major plus.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

Before I washed it off I could still smell the lemon scent on my skin.

It was nice to wake up and smell of citrus instead of reek of DHA.

Color Produced

The color I got from these towelettes was pretty light.

I would say they produced a light shade tan/glow.

It definitely wasn’t dark enough for me, but I think if you are extremely pale and are looking for a way to gradually start tanning, you may like this color.

But for all of you out there who are looking to get a few shades darker, this isn’t the self tanner for you.

It was hard to tell if the product was splotchy or uneven at all because the color was so light.

I guess you could say it was a natural looking, very light tan.

How Long It Lasts

These don’t last long as all!

My tan had faded completely after 2 days.

For the amount of money I spent on these, I wish the tan would’ve lasted longer.

OK For Men?

I think men would be wasting their money on Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes.

Men would probably have to use 3-4 towelettes to cover their whole body, so that’d be $18-$24 per tanning session!

That’s about as much as a spray tan…yikes!

Plus the color is extremely light and your tan will only last about 2 days.

Price

A pack of 8 towelettes is $48.00.

Talk about a hefty price!

Each time you tan you will use anywhere from 2-4 towelettes, so your tan will cost you anywhere betweeen $12 and $24.

That’s a lot to pay for a light tan that only lasts 2 days!

Just not worth it in my opinion.
