Overall Opinion:
There are some things I liked about Hot Body Luxurious Self Tan, but the main thing behind the 2 out of 5 star ranking is the color it produced.
The color was almost nonexistent, I totally forget I had applied self tanner because it was so light.
I got maybe one shade darker, and that’s being generous.
This product reminds me more of a body moisturizer than a self tanner.
I did like the way the product smells. It’s very girly and smells kind of like a perfume.
I also liked applying this product, it went on very smoothly and the product itself is very smooth and light feeling.
There’s no guide, so application is not messy at all, which is always nice.

Look and Feel
Hot Body Luxurious Self Tan comes in the form of a white lotion.
The lotion is on the thinner side, which makes it easy to apply.
It’s a very slick, smooth lotion, I really liked the feel of it.
There’s no guide in this product, so you don’t have to worry about it staining your palms.
Application
Applying this product was pretty easy.
There was no guide to worry about getting all over the place.
The lotion is pretty thin and smooth so it blended into my skin nicely.
It looks a lot like a body moisturizer or a sunscreen.
Drying Time
This self tanner dried completely in about 35 minutes.
That’s a little longer than average, but not as long as some of them we have tried.
It feels sticky on your body until it is completely dry.
Smell (Before Application)
I actually liked the smell of this product a lot.
It smells very “perfume-y” and girly.
The perfume smell overpowers any hint of DHA which is also nice.
The smell gets a thumbs up from me!
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
I wish this smell lasted for days straight, but unfortunately it doesn’t.
The next day I couldn’t smell it on my skin at all, before or after I showered.
Color Produced
Hot Body Luxurious Self Tan produced a very light color.
It was so light that the next day I had forgot I applied self tanner the night before.
No wonder I couldn’t smell any DHA in this product, I don’t even know if there is any in it!
I got maybe one shade darker, I was very disappointed in the color this self tanner produced.
I can’t even say the color was natural or smooth, because it was too light to tell.
How Long It Lasts
I’d say this product lasted one day, maybe 2 at best.
You’ll have to reapply this one quite often to maintain any color at all.
It didn’t fade splotchy or streaky, because the color wasn’t dark enough to see it fade at all.
I’ve seen some products fade pretty quickly, but this lasted shorter than any product I’ve ever seen!
OK For Men?
No, I think men should pass on Hot Body Luxurious Self Tan.
The color is virtually non-existent and the smell is very “perfume-y” aka girly.

Hot Body comes in a 3.6 oz bottle and sells for $16.99.
That works out to $4.71 per ounce, which is pretty average.
However, this product is more like a body lotion than a self tanner because the color is so light. And in my opinion, $16.99 is a lot to spend on a body lotion!
