Overall Opinion:
Overall, I gave Best Bronze Self Tanning Spray 2 out of 5 stars.
I would’ve given it lower but I liked how quickly it dried and application wasn’t too hard or messy.
The smell is so bad, it smells very strongly of DHA. I didn’t smell any hint of perfume or fragrance either, which sucked.
I also didn’t like the color it produced. It was so light. You’ll have to apply this one literally everyday to maintain any color.
The color was light, but it was very unnatural and uneven. It didn’t look good at all.
It lasted about 2-3 days, and it became pretty splotchy as it faded. I couldn’t wait to scrub it off (especially on my arms and legs).
And the thing I disliked most was the price. It’s a ridiculous $54.99 per bottle!! That works out to $15.71 an ounce, which is quite possibly the most expensive self tanner out there. I’d gladly pay that for a good self tanner, but this one just doesn’t cut it.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Best Bronze Self Tanning Spray is a mist with no color guide.
I was expecting it to have a dark guide, like most sprays do. But I was surprised when the product came out clear.
I actually liked that there wasn’t a guide because it wasn’t as messy as most sprays.
The mist is very light, and not very wet feeling.
Application
I always apply sprays in my shower, because I know how messy they can be.
Luckily, Best Bronze Self Tanning Spray wasn’t too bad.
It comes out as a mist, not a pump spray, which helps with even application.
I still ended up with a little product on the ground, and it felt sticky (this is why I suggest applying in the shower or bath).
Make sure you cover all areas, as you can’t really see what you’re spraying due to lack of guide.
They also provide latex gloves for you to rub in the places where the product pools up, which is nice.
Drying Time
This one dried in about 10-15 minutes, which was really nice.
I felt a bit sticky while I was waiting for it to dry, but at least that feeling went away quickly.
I think it helped that the product was so light.
Smell (Before Application)
This one smells like a spray tan, and very strongly of DHA.
I always hate how I smell after getting a spray tan, and that’s exactly how this product smells!
It smells very strongly of DHA, I didn’t detect any other fragrances.
Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)
I could still smell DHA when I woke up the next morning.
I couldn’t wait to shower that icky smell off my body!
Color Produced
Best Bronze Self Tanning Spray gave me a very light tan.
I wish my tan would’ve been a few shades darker, it was really light.
This is one you’ll have to apply daily in order to maintain any color at all.
Another downside of this color is that it was pretty scaly and uneven.
I really wasn’t a fan of how my tan looked.
You guys know how dark I like to be, and this one maybe got me one shade darker.
How Long It Lasts
My tan faded after about 2-3 days.
As it faded it became surprisingly splotchy for how light the color it was.
It looked very unnatural and I couldn’t wait to scrub the remnants off.
OK For Men?
No. The color is way too light for the hefty price tag.
This is one of the most expensive tanners out there at $54.99 per bottle.
I don’t think men will like how light and uneven it is either.
Price
Best Bronze Self Tanning Spray is very expensive.
The bottle is $54.99 for 3.5 ounces. That works out to $15.71 per ounce! Yikes!
I don’t like paying that much for a sub par product.
