Overall Opinion:

I ended up giving Younique Beachfront Self Tanning Body Lotion 1.75 out of 5 stars.  So there’s really not much I like about it.

First off, it’s SO expensive.  It’s $39 per bottle, plus another $5.50 per shipping.  That ends up being over $11 per ounce!

Second, the product is very difficult to blend into your skin.  It feels like you’re just moving the guide around and it’s never being absorbed.  I was left looking like a streaky mess due to this.

The color wasn’t anything special.  I was left with a light to medium shade tan (after one coat), and I had streaks from not being able to blend the product in.

The smell was ok, but not the best out there.

So overall, I gave Younique Beachfront Self Tanning Body Lotion 1.75 out of 5 stars.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Younique Beachfront Self Tanning Body Lotion is a very thick, brown lotion.

The color is pretty dark, and you can see it as you put it onto your skin.

This lotion is extremely thick and sticky feeling.

Application

Due to the dark guide, I used a tanning mitt to apply this one.

I found it very difficult to blend into my skin.  The product just moved around on my skin and you really had to rub and rub to blend it in.

Because it was so hard to blend in, I was looking like a dark, streak mess as soon as I finished applying it.

I had to leave some areas streaky, because they literally would not blend into my body.

Drying Time

This lotion is very thick and sticky, so I wasn’t surprised it took longer than average to dry.

Younique Beachfront Self Tanning Body Lotion took around 45 minutes to dry and it felt pretty sticky as it was drying.

Smell (Before Application)

When I smelled the product in the bottle, it smelled pretty bad to me.

But as I started applying it, it smelled better.  It has a very perfume-like scent, with some DHA mixed in.

Not the best scent, but not the worst either.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The perfume smell stuck around for an hour or two, then the DHA took over.

The DHA smell never got really bad, but I could still smell it.

Color Produced

I woke up the next morning looking all bruised due to the streakiness of the guide.

Once I washed the guide off, I was disappointed that I still had some streaks!

The color was a light to medium shade and my thighs and arms had streaks due to the guide not blending in.

I also wish the color was darker and a bit less “yellow” looking.

I saw online some people apply two coats, but I had trouble putting one coat on.  Two would be a major hassle.

Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with the color this one produces.

How Long It Lasts

My tan lasted 3-4 days before fading.

It became a little splotchy as it faded, but it was hard to tell because I had already had streaks.

OK For Men?

No.  It’s very expensive, and the tan isn’t worth it.
