Overall Opinion:

I gave Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse a 1.25 out of 5 stars.

I feel like it’s my duty to warn the self tanning community about this product.

First off, the name is SO misleading.  This product doesn’t last anywhere near 2-3 weeks. You’ll be lucky if you tan lasts 2-3 days.

I ordered the dark shade and it got me maybe one shade darker.  I was shocked by how light my tan was, and also very disappointed.  The color I did get had an orange hue to it, and I really wasn’t a fan.

Also, they charge $54 bucks for the self tanner!  That is a ridiculously high price tag and makes me sick thinking people pay that for this self tanner.

I could go on and on about the things I didn’t like, but I’ll go into them later in this review.

So overall, I gave this foam 1.25 out of 5 stars.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse is a mousse that has a brown guide in it.

The guide helped me apply evenly so I knew where I was putting the product.  The guide is a dark brown color.

The mousse is foamy and not too watery; it holds a nice texture.

Application

They provide a tanning mitt with this mousse, which is nice.

Application is pretty simple.  It’s easy to blend in and the guide is even and smooth.

It doesn’t dry too quickly, so you have time to really blend it in to your skin.

Be careful with the dark guide, and definitely use the mitt!

Drying Time

This mousse took around 15-20 minutes to dry, which isn’t too bad.  But it stays sticky for a while after that, which I found very uncomfortable.

My body parts were sticking to each other and I can’t stand that feeling.  I like feeling dry and smooth.

Smell (Before Application)

This is another Vita Liberata product that claims to have no smell.

I really don’t know where they’re getting that.  This one definitely has a smell and it’s not pleasant.

It smells sour, mixed with DHA scent.

I really didn’t care for the smell; the good thing is it wasn’t very potent.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The smell faded a bit, but it still smelled gross as it developed.

I didn’t care for the sour DHA smell at all!

With how far self tanners have come with scent, you’d think this one would smell better.

Color Produced

This is why I had to rank Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse so low, the color was so bad.

I ordered the dark shade, and my tan was barely there!   First off, this was nowhere near a dark tan. And secondly, my tan didn’t even get close to lasting 2-3 weeks.  I feel like the name of this product is very deceiving.

The directions say to apply 3 times, with 24 hours between applications.  So what they’re really saying is this is a gradual self tanner.  But no gradual tanner lasts 2-3 weeks.  Spray tans don’t even last that long!

The very light (almost nonexistent) color I got from this mousse had an orange tint that wasn’t natural looking.

I was so disappointed in this color, and I even read online that some extremely pale girls saw no color at all.

How Long It Lasts

This one is a joke as far as longevity goes.

It claims to last 2-3 weeks… um, try 2 days (if that).

After I showered off the guide, I felt like my tan was mostly already gone.

Oh and to top it off, when I showered, it came off on my towels.

OK For Men?

No.  It’s SO expensive and definitely not worth it.

I could get weekly spray tans for cheaper and end up with a way better tan.

This product is definitely not worth the hefty price tag.
