Overall Opinion:

Overall, Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist was a little better than average.

The color is a great medium shade, BUT I turned out pretty splotchy.  So I highly recommend using a tanning mitt to blend this product after you apply it to your body.

The drying time was longer than average, it took about 40 minutes to completely dry and I felt really sticky in the process…yuck!

It also didn’t last very long, it had completely faded after 3 days.

The smell was great, very light and clean smelling, that was a definite plus.

The price point was pretty average, it worked out to $3.20 an ounce.

So as you can tell this one has its pros and cons.

This is one where you will really have to pay attention while applying it, and make sure the product is well blended.  If you do this, you will end up with an even, medium bronze glow!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist is a light weight mist that comes out with a pretty dark guide.

Once you start spraying onto your body, your skin immediately looks darker.

The mist isn’t too heavy, and comes out in an even spray.

Application

Like all mists, this one can get a little messy.

Whenever you use a mist I suggest you put a towel down that you don’t mind getting dirty, because whatever product doesn’t stick to your body will fall right to the floor.

The bottom of my feet always wind up sticky and black after applying mists, that’s a definite downside for me.

Also, mists sometimes annoy me, because you can’t help but inhale some of the product while applying it.

I didn’t use a tanning mitt to blend this product in, but I wish I would have because the color turned out splotchy.

Just make sure you hold the bottom at a consistent distance from your skin while applying it to avoid an uneven tan.

Then after you finishing spraying your entire body, I would highly recommend using a mitt to blend in the areas that look darker than the others.

Drying Time

I was disappointed with how long this one took to dry.

I read numerous review that said Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist dried very quickly, but I didn’t find that to be true.

It dried completely in about 35-40 minutes, and until it dried I felt SO sticky!

Whenever my legs would rub against each other I immediately felt how wet and sticky the product still felt.

So I’d give this one around 40 minutes total to dry.

Also. be careful as it dries, as it has a dark brown guide!

Smell (Before Application)

This mist has a very light clean scent.

To me it smelled very fresh, which I liked.

I didn’t smell any DHA even though the scent was really light.

For a self tanner, this one smelled pretty good!

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next day, any trace of scent was gone.

It actually smelled a little like self tanner (DHA) when I woke up the next morning.

Nothing too bad, but the smell was definitely there.

Once I washed it off, thankfully that smell completely went away.

Color Produced

Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist actually produced pretty good color.

The tan was about a medium shade and the color looked pretty natural (not orange at all).

However, my tan was so splotchy.

That’s why I said I wish I would’ve used a self tanning mitt, and I think I could have prevented my uneven color.

There was a very obvious line on the top of my thigh where I didn’t blend the tanner in, it looked so bad!  I was just glad my shorts covered that area up.

I was upset the color wasn’t more even, because I did like the medium bronze shade it produced.

How Long It Lasts

Unfortunately, Sephora Tinted Self Tanning Body Mist didn’t last too long.

I’d say it lasted 2 days, maybe 3 if your lucky.

So you’ll have to regularly apply this tanner to maintain your color.

OK For Men To Use?

If men are willing to diligently apply this product, they may like it.

This is definitely one where you have to pay close attention, and then go back and blend some areas so they don’t streak.

For most men, this will probably be too much work, but there are a few out there that take their tanning very seriously!

But for your everyday male that is looking for a quick and easy tan, this one isn’t it.

Price

This self tanner costs $16.00 on the Sephora website.

It comes in a 5 Oz. bottle, so that works out to about $3.20 an ounce, which isn’t too bad.
