Overall Opinion:

I was disappointed in this product, especially after spending so much money on it.

This is a gradual self tanner, and after 3 days of application I was MAYBE one shade darker.

I couldn’t really even tell I used a self tanner.

The product stinks of DHA and the instructions on how to use this product are somewhat confusing.  The only way you’d be able to tell this is a daily self tanner is on the box, the bottle doesn’t mention it at all.

I paid a lot of money for a product that gave virtually no color and made me smell like DHA.

Look and Feel

Josie Maran Argan Self Tanning Cream is a lightweight lotion/cream.

It comes out white, without guide color, and feels soft and smooth.

Application

This product was very easy to apply, there is no guide so you don’t have to worry about a mess being made.

It blends nicely into your skin, it feels like you are applying your daily lightweight moisturizer.

Drying Time

I was impressed with how quickly this product dried.

I could no longer feel this product on my skin within about 20 minutes.  That was the one thing I really liked about this cream.

Smell (Before Application)

This cream doesn’t have a pleasant smell.

I could really smell the DHA, and I couldn’t smell any hint of fragrance or perfume trying to cover that smell.

This is another one of those products that smells like a cheap, drugstore product, but it’s actually one of the most expensive tanners out there.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

The next day I could still smell the tanner on my skin, and I definitely smelled the DHA throughout the day as well.  I couldn’t wait to shower it off!

Color Produced

Another area this product fell short is the color produced.

The color was extremely light.

It is a daily/gradual tanner, so I expected to get a shade or two lighter after each application.  I didn’t notice ANY color at all after the first application and maybe got 1 shade darker over the next few days of application.

It’s a lot of work putting on a self tanner, so it was a real pain putting it on 3 days in a row and STILL not achieving a tan.

How Long It Lasts

I honestly couldn’t tell how long this product lasted because the color was so light.

I would say it lasted a day, MAYBE two.

OK For Men?

If you know a man that is looking to get tan, do not recommend this product to him.

He will just become frustrated after applying it 3 days in a row and achieving almost no color.

This cream is $32.00 for 4 oz…that works out to $8.00 an ounce.  Talk about forkin’ out a pretty penny for a product that doesn’t give very good color!
