Overall Opinion:

I ended up giving Brown Cow 1 Hour Tan 3.5/5 stars.

It was definitely better than average, and I liked this product because it’s SO convenient!

I really liked how this is an “instant” tan and you can wash the product off in 1-3 hours (depending on how dark you want to be).

I left it on for 3 hours and ended up with a medium to dark shade tan.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell, as it smelled somewhat medicinal and of DHA.

It was easier to apply than most mousses, but you still have to be careful.

The price is pretty steep, but if you can get past that I think you’ll like the product.

Overall, this was a pretty decent 1 hour tan!

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Brown Cow 1 Hour Tan is a very dark colored foam.

The foam is very light, airy and fluffy. It was a nice change from a lot of foams I’ve tried that are very watery.

I liked the consistency of this one; it made it easy to apply.

The guide is a very dark brown color, it looks almost black.

Application

I would recommend using a tanning mitt when applying this one because the guide is so dark.

I used a tanning mitt and my hands didn’t stain or turn orange at all.

I really liked the texture of this mousse; it was airy and light. A lot of foams I’ve tried are watery and difficult to apply, but I found this one held its shape and was easier to put on.

You do have to be a little bit careful though because the guide is a very dark brown and will stain.

The guide blends into your skin very nicely and you’re left looking bronze after you apply it.

Drying Time

Brown Cow 1 Hour Tan dried in about 15 minutes, which isn’t too bad.

Most foams tend to dry pretty quickly, and this one was no different.

While you’re waiting for it to dry, make sure the guide doesn’t touch anything!

Smell (Before Application)

This self tanner smells just okay. The bottle says it’s “cherry scented”, and I smelled a little bit of cherry scent. But I also smelled a little bit of DHA as well.

The product smells a little bit medicinal because of the cherry scent.

It wasn’t my favorite smell, but it wasn’t the worst either.

Smell (After Several Hours And The Next Day)

Well, the good news is you don’t have to keep this one on for long (only 1-3 hours).

Throughout those few hours I could still smell the DHA/cherry smell, but it wasn’t very strong.

The smell didn’t really bother me, I could only smell it if I really tried to.

Color Produced

So, with this self tanner you shower it off after only 1-3 hours. The longer you leave it on, the darker your tan will be.

I left my tan on for 3 hours before showering it off. After I showered it off I had a very light tan left, but by the next morning my tan had fully developed into a medium-dark shade.

I was very happy with how my tan turned out. It was brown, not orange and fake looking.

I wouldn’t say it was a really dark shade, but more of a medium to dark tan.

Brown Cow 1 Hour Tan is nice because you can adjust how dark your tan will be based on the amount of time you leave it on your skin.

How Long It Lasts

I found my tan lasted about 4-5 days before it started to fade.

That’s really good, and I was happy it lasted that long.

As it faded it became a little splotchy but nothing too drastic.

OK For Men?

Men, if you’re looking for a really quick tan, I think you’ll like this one.

You only have to leave the tan on for 1-3 hours, so it’s really convenient and non-time consuming.

The color it produces is also very nice and smooth.

Price

After you pay for shipping to America, the price is $8.95 per ounce.

So it’s a lot higher than average, but I’ve seen worse.

I think this one is worth the price tag, and one bottle will last you a while.
